Second Impressions

Flash.

In a second.

In a whirlwind of time:

Life happens.

And each time you'll tell yourself,

"Next time I'll do it better,

 Next time I'll be smarter.

 Next time I'll be someone

to be proud of."

You live for the next times.

You live for the other days when you can do better.

You don't live for the todays.

You don't stop and think of all the good things.

You pass them up, striving for perfection.

But like lightening, they are gone.

The flashing blue.

The sizzling light.

A dazzle of protection you only see when you're watching the skies.

The beautiful light will fade but the marks remain in the hearts of others.

It will never fade and never loose the perfect change it holds

Even if you never know.
