Seasons Gone

My time on earth has slipped away
And all my seasons gone
My warm days are all too short
My winters seem too long

My steady breath is labored
My dreams have gone away
My life is oh too short
Much like the summer day

My time is near my time is here
My time is coming soon
But like the winter light so short
My morning is now noon

The darkness is drawing near
My heart it aches with pain
Look in my eyes and see the fear
Each tear drop falls like spring rain

Each drop of rain contains
A story of my life
The love the laughs the pain
The troubles and the strife

Each hour vanishes each minute dies
Time drifts away like the autumn leaves
You see the fear, it’s in my eyes
But simply you just won’t believe

My warm days are all too short
My winters seem too long
My time on earth has slipped away
And all my seasons gone
