Seaside

You are my ebony metal tree

All alone by yourself

With no one but me

To read to you softly

Down by the sea

Where you wilt and you rust

And become quite mean

'Cause of all you have left

All alone by yourself

Waiting, so silently

All by yourself

Alone in your dark

Waiting for light

I shall wait by your side

Through the terror of night

Even with all that surrounds you

We'll get through it all right

'Cause I will protect you

And you stand so tall

You may want the light

But I know what it brings

For I know you will heat

Way to hot to touch

Then I can't go near you

So you'll be alone

All by yourself

Alone by the sea

Alone in your hell

I will wait in the distance

From my golden black tree

That stands so tall

And alone

By the sea

I'll wait for you

Until I can come close

In hope that again

I'll be your rose…
