Sea Foam

The child can’t comprehend

The world and what it holds

Good or bad

All unknown to the child who dreams in the sea foam

The young child chooses see only the foam

Chooses to trust the ocean

Below the foam can be something unimaginable to the child
To the child things are unexplainable

There are no words for what could be happening

To the mind or body of the child

The child cannot understand the same way the adult does

trust is natural to the child

What reason would the child have to not trust?

The child can be beaten and still seek the guilty

Can still love the guilty

Can still do everything in their power to make the guilty one happy

Things happen to the child

They cannot describe

They don't have the

words

The child trusts the ocean enough to lay on the seafoam

As the child grows their feet touch the sand below

They don’t trust the ocean the way

They did

trust takes work now

Wrongdoings become solidified in their mind

The guilty one remains guilty

the guilty one does not deserve what the now adult has to offer

The now adult builds walls

Finds a need for protection

As a child there was no need for walls

The guilty one needs to love them

No matter what

The child becomes an adult when the trust is hard to earn.

words become ingrained into their head that they didn't know

When they were

young

trusting

Explanations come to them

They realize what happened to them

The child who seeked for explanation

Now has one

An explanation the now adult wears as a name tag

The child becomes an adult when they know the word for what happened.
