The Sea of Dismay

Location

Drifting, drifting, drifting
In a boat on the cool, blue sea
The soft wind pushing more
As he lay, eyes closed, in the humidity

Farther, farther, farther
Away from his intended route
But the wind was doing all the work,
So what did he have to worry about?

Deeper, deeper, deeper
Into the vast unknown
The gray clouds silently crept
Over the sun that once shown

Slowly, slowly, slowly
He started to look around
The dark waters seemed angry
As he heard the crashing waves sound

Faster, faster, faster
The roaring wind gripped him tight
There was no way of escaping now
Not a sign of help in sight

Whirling, whirling, whirling
The wind and waves in control
The terrified boy screamed helplessly
As they took hold of his lost soul
