Screaming
The screams
They echo in my brain
Day in and day out
The screams
Of the children
The screams of the mothers
The fathers
The loved ones
The childhood friends
They are screaming
And the world will not listen.
We have forsaken them
We must not forget
Don’t forget old one
What you have done
The elders are deaf
The screams fall on
Deaf ears
Wake up.
Wake up you
You goddamn idiot.
I’m screaming now
On your lawn
It’s 2am
And I’m screaming
I’m writhing on the ground
And you will listen
You will listen to their screaming.
