TO scream THROUGH THE HEADPHONES

I know how you are

Today you block out the world

With your phones

And your tech

And your blarring headphones.

Now this my be irony

Or maybe it's just truth

How I wish to break you and stake you

To the ground with rough iron

Rip the headphones from your head

And scream so loud that the dead

Will shutter in their graves.

You have ignored me

And implored me

To hold my tongue and be quiet

But as a man once said

Sometimes quiet is violent

And to be silenced and downcast

Fuels me to Speak

To show you I'm over-worthy

And that I never was weak

You're headphones are off

Now hear me ROAR

Because I won't be the victim

YOU clean MY floor.

You knew one day you'd hear me

So you took advantage while you could.

Now here's come the day,

When you stand where I stood.
