School is Dull

School is dull.

Classes have blank walls,
Walls that cry for attention.

Textbooks are words on a page,
You might be lucky to create a word search
Among the letters.

Every hallway looks the same,
lined with dented and cracked lockers.
Too perfectly do they fit together,
And identical in size.

Cafeteria food is bland.
No salt, no sugar, no pepper.
Any desserts on the menu?
Same menu as the week before,
Are we really paying to eat here?

Gymnasium, big and dark.
School mascot slapped in the center court,
Bleachers tucked away.
Wish there was a game today.
No excercise to free the mind,
It's test test test all the time.

School is dull.
