I'm faced with a list

Every two weeks.

No GPA required, no essay requried, some essay required, age limits.

Money is both free and difficult to get.

College is too expensive for any one person 

And every other person wants only certain people-

Not people. Requirements.

We are shortened down to a list of interests and our major,

Too unsure of ourselves. Too little money and time to be sure

of anything.
