Scars

Some say scars are works of art
I disagree
Scars are stories
Entire books filled with words
Each shouting for their tale to be told
Their unique anecdote begging to be heard
Carving their words into your vocal cords
Filling your lungs to the brim with the need to proclaim that you are strong
Scars are history
That is behind you, yet colours your future
They are warnings
For life not to mess with you
Because you conquered something that wanted to hurt you

Scars are your story
And I want to read every single line
