Scarecrow

Location

When the sun sets on sober songs

And tears become common place

Know that I'm here to weather the hurricane

Know that I'm waiting for something better now

Even when I scream soundless sorrows

Even though tragedies are reality

Believe that I'm here to bear the weight

Believe that I'm waiting for something better now

Even when the sea steals our stars

Even though our reflections are blurred

Say that I'm here to pull us through

Say that I'm waiting for something better now

When lives loved are lost

And the weight becomes too much

Know that I'm here to stay

Know that I'm waiting for something better now

Even when lies are lived for and luminous

Even though we tear each other apart

Believe that I'm going to turn the Earth on its axis

Believe that I'm waiting for something better now

Even when lust is lucky

Even though misery loves company

Say that I'm never going to leave

Say that I'm waiting for something better now

When tricks tell on trust

And running isn't enough

Know that I'm more terrifying than all our fears

Know that I watch for something better now

Even when touch is too taxing

Even though crows pick at our flesh

Believe that I'll be your scarecrow

Believe that I watch for something better now

Even when the twist is toxic

Even though we all have a breaking point

Say that we'll make our own climax

Say that we watch for something better now
