A Save From That Boston Block

Getting prepared, for the rest of my life, is a blind action.
Entrance exams, transcripts, and acceptance.
Completeing applications for college while in conversation with mom,
Her guiding hand was a save from that Boston block.
It could have been me,
There with a blown off leg,
There for orientation, for Berklee's music I said.
You see, music is my life,
but God and mom are higher
Mom was a save from that Boston block,
From my musical desire.
It could have been me,
One that lost my life
But I chose the right school,
It made my life feel right.
I'm at a loss for words.
I was in a state of shock,
because I had a save,
Mom was a save,
God was a save from that Boston block
