For The Sake of Darkness, This is Not How I Feel

Forget the light at the end of the tunnel

Put at the top of the everlong funnel

That leads to my death, maybe not a funnl at all

The inside is sand, and glass is the wall

An hourglass Im trapped in that I cant get out of

As the sand falls away slowly, I cant help but wonder how does

Someone get caught in the painful world of envy

Instead of living, people are worried about what it could be

Decsendence of what has been written, ammendments placed

Upon ones life, all unevenly spaced

Obsticles people are forced to deal with each day

From trying not to die, to getting your next days pay

Always watching these people and how they are all in a trance

To be ordered and governed like a bittersweet 50s romance

From a wife to a husband, who just sits and listens

She is as unimportant as his mistress

But she will not ask where he has been tonight

She will instead be run by societal norms of being an average wife

Moving further and further from the freedom we sought

These United States line up for the politicans lies to be bought

So that they may run the country, not "We the people"

As we slowly fade into Russia: The Sequel

Stuck on reliance people dont fight in their teams

Insead blame some boy for your low self-esteem

Because people today rely on the likes on thier pages

No matter the stupid pitiful war that it wages

But instead of fighting each other, killing is not each other, this war in itself

Is all of these kids are killing themselves

They have not even had a chance to live

Yet they take themselves away, and their souls do they give

to a cause unexistant, that they werent pretty enough

Or life became life and accually got tough

And their phones couldnt save them, so they do know what to do

When they cant just simply Google the solution

So they take the cowards way out of the one life they know

And its suddenly sad when depression accualy shows

How far someone can push another

And that people kill themselves when they dont like each other

They expect something different then disliked or worse

If you cant handle your skimpy clothing, put on longer shorts

Peole bring darkness upon themselves until they see

That it was their choice to be taunted indefinatly

Some people cant control how their bodies grow

That their cumbersome graces are ones they dont want to show

I wish that there was a way for them to see

That what makes them different is what makes them unique

But all of these perfect little pop stars all gloat

On how they look, lies that shouldnt leave their throats

The only perfect depends on what you believe

Perfect is nearly impossible to achieve

Unless two people are perfect for each other

Perfect to one another

But these actors and actresses arent an embodiment or example

They are just another unique sample

Of the diversity found in an unpredictable world

The fact that we can predicted, is an excuse on why everyone is not a pearl

Unpredictable is a good reason not to die

Life happens, at most just sit there and cry

Oh, America the free, ruin our lives

From our belimic teens to our useless wives

Because people marry on a sudden feeling of

Liking someone, but not being in love

You cant be in love after just two weeks

So dont say the word "love" now minor and meak

Its been over used and now it is useless

You have to make sure you mean it when you accualy use it

But theres no way to tell since people love material things

And never quite know what happiness brings
So people are consumed by their phones and computers
Love nonexistance in the near future
Because we judge love by what we are bought
The shine of a necklace is the nooses knot
The diamond on the ring, a blood diamond of sorts
"Until death do us part", the term thus ignored
Leave it to us to ruin matrimony
With love being replicated, lovers are phony
What is created is broken hearts and broken dreams
The little girl in that woman's heart is overworked and unclean
Having to work night and day for the money that it takes
Just to live to have the luxuries that make
Them part of society instead of frowned upon
And their morals of being a better person are gone
They spend most of their days laying on a mattress
Trying to get the rest of the world to sympathize with her status
The amount if friends she has is kept track of by her screen
And the number next to "Friends" meant everything
And when people call her a slut or call her a whore
She wanted attention, but this is much more
Than she bargained for, she wanted a life
So she would deal with the pain and the strife
Of being that girl who people teased for her picture
For she captured that moment and what ever gesture
It was to make it public no matter the cost
She got what she wanted, but she became lost
In her mind, wondering why she isn't that popular girl
So she does what it takes, let's a guy take her world
The becomes a push over, but at least he's hot
She would leave him because of the abuse but he's all she's got
Or at least in her mind, he will control
Every move that she makes and she thinks she is bold
But she's drowning in sorrow until it becomes too much
When all the pain of her life's she thinks is too much
She lost the girl whose heart once sang
Now the weight on her shoulder suffocated her as she hangs
Her face turning purple, gasping for air
Her feet looking for somewhere to stand, but there's nothing there
The one final thought that runs through her head
Was regretting that she thought she was better off dead
Now people are about how she was treated
Each stupid person saying they could have been the friend that she needed
But they weren't so they are just looking for attention
And bragging that they are a good friend, so why even mention
Just let people mourn instead of boosting your ego
If you would have been there, she wouldn't think she had to go
And yet you weren't so your not that good of a friend
Maybe if you were her life wouldn't have ended
But in your head and talking to your friends you were one
Of the people teasing her but it seemed as none
As no one heard you, but that doesn't make it right
That you can make fun of her just because your out of sight
If a tree falls and nobody is around to hear it
It still made a noise, kind of like you did
And now you have to live with being
Or lying and saying that you could have been saving
A life because you are an extended part of the reason
That she killed herself believing that all of her demons
That lied on her thoughts were all correct
And that eventually it was not a secret
That she was depressed and she wanted to die
Nobody cared but they all knew why
She cried herself to sleep every night
All of her thoughts she was trying to fight
Caught up with her in the form
Of a cold cutting razor releasing velvet warmth
As it slowly flows down to her elbow
And falls what seems like forever on to the floor
And she does it once more because she thinks she deserves it
She thinks she is worth nothing and that she isn't worth it
So here she lies, cold and alone in a coffin
The death of her heads a suicidal caution
Saying, "Teens, of you are depressed go see an adult
Maybe they can act like they care as they pull
You down into a rouse of their saftey
And then you won't kill yourself!" Hmm...well maybe..
They hope to stop them but it's only sad when their gone
That's the only time they care whether or not
They are even depressed, "Your just being a teen!"
Or maybe they want to die and never be seen
Because people think they are just being angsty
Maybe if you felt that way, then you may see
But you wont, you will just ignore the emotion
Your kid is conveying and play it off as a crazy notion
But know that you are now trapped in their head
And therefore part of the reason that they are now dead
The world has gone crazy, the world is now numb
To calling their next generation stupid or dumb
It makes me sick that people only care
About the color of their phone and the style of their hair

I am supposed to be free, in a country better than the rest, as the world nips at our heels
For the sake of darkness, this is not how I feel...
