Running in the Unknown

Location

Wet perspiration drowning his face,

Suns giving light to the world around.

Every stride reaching for the ground,

While every drop of determination fuels the pace.

Time abrutly stops to a reverse,

As steps erase steps.

The victor returns to the depths,

Backpedling his burden of a curse.

Enduring nothing but the past,

Weakness fades away.

Until the race is about to get underway,

His mind is clear at last.

Back to the place of rest,

Never knowing if he truely did his best.
