Run Forward

Location

Stumbling through the darkness,

Lying through the false teeth,

Laughing and smiling happiness,

Feeling desolation beneath,

There’s nowhere to run but forward.

Chased by an unseen monster,

Condemned by the worthless logic,

Feeling like a lifeless impostor,

Cutting others to their tender quick,

There’s nowhere to run but forward.

Feigning great stability,

Weeping deeply inside,

Pretending to be sharp and witty,

But knowing that the world is wide,

There’s nowhere to run but forward.

True man filled with loneliness,

Unknown by all the others,

False man feeling nothingness,

Laughing among his many brothers,

There’s nowhere to run but forward.

Break now out of the callous shell,

Rush out into the brilliant light,

Forget the fear that sought to quell,

Remember the love that rules with might,

There’s nowhere to run but forward.
