Rumpelstiltskin
Rumpelstiltskin,
Weary and thin,
Has a reputation unbelieved.
Making deals,
Cunningly so,
To take first borns as currency.
Rumpelstiltskin,
Quick and nimble,
Snatches children from their cribs.
The parents weep
But fail to see,
How Stiltskin is protecting them.
He does not choose at random,
But he does choose fairly fast—
For the children he takes
Are not quite human:
Rather dangerous, in fact.
Mr. Rumpel,
Hide if you will
The reason you take these children.
Soon we will find
One you left behind,
And the way his teeth are sharpened.
Rumpelstiltskin,
Weary and thin,
Has a reputation quite appalling.
He takes these creatures
And hides away
Where no one can hear them calling.
