Rubies
It's a sin
The aphrodisiac relationship blood has with skin
Yet, like with star crossed lovers they fight until forces give in
How alluring are the rubies that are magnified on skin
How enchanting it seems when it's not within
How entrancing when it glistens
And all that black pavement collecting the rubies like a glutton
It's the black and white car peeling away instantaneous
The victory sirens fading away ravenous
But why kill?
And just like a cycle
both ruby and skin return to the earth
Back to its original place of birth
