A rose for you my dear

Location

A rose

For you, my dear

Not because you need one

But because you deserve one

Not from me

From one less selfish than I

I see you only as you pass

I know you not

Your brow is furrowed

The corners of your mouth arch downward

I know not your pains

Nor how I can help

But if for every rose you smiled

Every rose you would have

Every hour

Every second

A rose more beautiful than the last

This smile quickly fades

I need your happiness

So even if you love another more

If he could make you smile with just his presence

I would be satisfied

For your smile would be there

Even when I can’t see it

But until then

A rose

For you, my dear
