The Road He Walks

A boy, so young, had fallen you see

and struggled, did he, to get off the floor.

He walked life's road abysmally

but this road of life he wanted no more.

He went through life like he had lost a fight.

He had a plan to swallow every last pill,

but try as he might, it didn't go right.

There was something within he just could not kill.

"I was depressed but now I'm funny,"

is how he starts his little tale

of a life of happiness, one he

once only dreamed good would prevail

But now the road he walks and smiles

and knows his life will go on for miles.
