Rivers and Roots

Silence is cold but silence can also be warm

Love is demanding but love can still be patient

Death can be tragic but it can also be peaceful

People can be malicious, but some can also be kindhearted

Words like I love you can be heartfelt but can also be insincere

Home can be chaotic yet still be the place you run to

The constant contradictions are what caused us to dance in the rain that night.

We pondered what life would be like when the roots of our hair were gray and when our skin wrinkle like currents in a beautiful river.

So many walking contradictions in this world yet one thing can be sure… I was his and he was mine
