Remembering That I am Made of Ice

You're ice, remember?

you aren't supposed to burn with passion

you'll melt- quit it

you're only making a target of yourself

Freeze again, freeze and don't feel

You're glass, remember?

don't near others, you'll shatter

at their touches

You're ice, remember? You're glass, remember?

NO, YOU'RE NOTHING. STOP IT. REMEMBER, YOU NEED ME.

Do I? Do I really need you?

Today I am shattering

and i will leave all those who told me not to be "something I'm not"

with shards underneath their fingernails and their eyelids frozen shut and third-degree burns from my lips

You're ice, remember? You're glass, remember?

You're a weapon, remember. You are powerful and dangerous, and you are not a stereotype.
