Remember when I learned how

Remember when I learned how to walk,
I became an explorer that couldn't leave your sight
Remember when I learned how to talk,
I became a comedian whose show went till night
Remember when I was scared of the darkness, and your bed started to become my bed
Remember when I took showers and sung to the heavens, but you became my audience instead
Though I may not have noticed, you were always right beside me
You don't need a Thank You, because my smile is all you want to see
Remember when you taught me how to drive, and you screamed because you thought we might die
Remember when I got my first love who made me feel alive, and we had a talk that made me want to stick a knife in my eye
Remember when we were a book full of open pages, and now we're a book full of different stages
You've been beside me through my whole entire life, and you'll always be beside me so we won't say goodbye
But it's time to write my own book now and because of you I'll know where to start
I'm going write it with your kind of love, the love that's deep inside my heart
