Reflections of Freud

I am rather annoyed

To be studying Freud.

The ego, superego, and id.

I wish to take an eraser

To his subconscious glacier

He must have been one messed up kid.

What he claimed to discover

About a son and his mother-

I can only say “Heaven Forbid!”

This Oedipal obsession,

His misguided thoughts upon repression,

And basically most things he did

Are utterly devoid

Of all things I’ve enjoyed.

Much like that hour I spent studying Freud.
