Reflection (Part 2)

My reflection is

a mirage

purely an image

Based

on deception

hidden with lies

buried in secrets

It whispers happiness

to me

But all I can see in

this reflection is

a face,

blurred

uneven,

uncertain

pain all around me

this reflection

is empty

nothing compared

to

perfection

just ordinary

but broken

unyielding

unspoken

and not opened

behind this reflection

is nothing important

just someone ordinary

just another person,

Behind this reflection,

is a girl

whose pain

has caused her to just see this reflection

and nothing more

Little do I know that

behind this reflection

is a smile

and eyes

that do not yield to cries

faith

as big a mustard seed and

a heart

that beats

for most

but not all

Behind this reflection is

a dream

deeply rooted

and hope

that I am more than a person

hiding behind the shadows of my reflection

Behind this reflection

I must leave

so that I can be more than just a reflection

but me.
