Redwood trees.

Oh my redwood trees

With trunks  carved from red stone

Struck by lightening to end the morph

And branches that gracefully dance

Stirred by the wind

As my feet sway in blue

A trail of roots glimmer in place of steps

Ever greens

Are rarely seen

Without others to a fro

Protecting one another from the rough world above

Like clinks of armor tightly sewn

I raise my head to follow the sight

As they barely sweep the moon

Space making way for the trees

That help the earth in toon.

A child can become lost

In the maze that is all height

Trapped safely in the bark

Until the end of life and night

Oh my redwood trees

Towering above the rest

How I love thee redwood trees

Where i build my tiny nest
