Reason for Being

Wed, 07/01/2015 - 19:14 -- Trai09

I'll let you go because it's what's best.
Your reason for being was as a lesson.

Does it hurt?
Well, of course it does but all pain fades.
Am I sad?
Well, of course but after the sadness comes understanding.

We've had our run and it was really fun,
But the time for fighting has come to a close.
So, as I watch you walk away, all I can do is wave.

May God have mercy on your soul,
But may God bless you in all the ways you deserve.
I wish you no harm for none lies in my being,
But I wish you'll feel the full weight of my forgiveness.

Everything is not meant to last
And clearly we follow the same rule,
But I wish you nothing but good health and fortune.

Does it hurt?
Well, of course it does but all pain fade.
Am I sad?
Well, of course but after the sadness comes understanding.

I'll let you go because it's what's best.
Your reason for being was as a lesson.
