Though the comforter is heaviest at 6:30,

I break through its hold to silence my alarm.

Arms stretch above,

reaching out for my potential,

before bowing down

to stretch down,

in rememberance that the physical world is where I am now.

Some may call it "yoga"

I personally call it "fancy stretching",

But the flow of the movements

and the stretch of the muscles

has been more refreshing for my (un)morning self

than rolling out of bed

and avoiding the cat.
