The Real World

A mountain to climb, an emotional high

A divot in our path, and suddenly we crash

Into the ocean, drowning in waves

I lie in bed, pleading for you to stay

A sky to navigate

The Great Unknown

The woods are swallowing our young lives whole

The world is a maze

And our feelings are lost

In a whirlwind of craziness, our hearts are at cost

The climb was beautiful

Yet the crash was heartwrenching

It lead me to the ocean, drowning beneath the waves

Still pleading for a way to make you stay
