It was supposed to begin; I was ready

New Freedom, New lover, New me

It was supposed to be fun; I was prepared

New experiences, New achomplishments, New Peers

It was going to be enthralling; I could not wait

New life, New goals

New Me

Old Me

Same life, Same effort

It has only grown harder; I was not ready

Same trips, Same work, Same people

It now costs me, not my family; I did not know

New loss, New regrets, New Memories

I thought I was ready; life hits

New lessons, New betrayals

Not ready; just older

Changed me
