Reading

Words fly and legends die,

Story after story soars into my mind

But I stop.

In the stillness remaining

My heart restless looks

For deeper meaning.

Stories that filled my pleasure

Now have little measure,

As I turn to deeper reading

Great works leading

Me to ponder.

So my thoughts wander

But one pierces through;

I have matured.
