Rawness of the night

The night shines brighter than the day
Although the sky emmits no source of light
The absence of something is almost as strong as the abundance of it
Under the dim light of the moon, emotions are raw.
Feelings are felt, for you are alone
the time to understand what hands have been dealt
All the short straws that have been drawn
With all of this, Tears fall down your flush face
You are so tired and fatigued, at being merely a pawn
Simply a "thing" that lacks the importance of a lighthearted gesture to be shown
So when in the dusk turns to dawn, the night shines brighter than it has ever been
