i don't want to look at you

i don't like knowing love

because it hurts more than anything

you don't even know these poems

are mostly about you

how i pour my heart and soul

into a few tiny words strung together

i don't want to look in your eyes

because they show what i really am

a hopeless romantic

and it kills me everyday

knowing you see me as a distraction
