Rainy Love

The umbrellas over our heads

and these puddles reflecting our insides.

When we'd all rather be kissed in our beds,

We're along a boardwalk searching for tides.

Holding hands in this pouring weather,

There's raindrops gluing our palms together.

That smile across the nape of your neck,

sends my heart into an SOS -

shipwreck.

And the way your hair shines golden

on a cloudy day,

the beaming affection of your skin

outshines all the gray.

MY body is cold with chills of ready rain,

We're using every second up,

before the daylight wanes.

Pick me up and run with me

like a deadweight -

But this body is yours to hold close.

Maybe this was some kind of

meant-to-be or fate.

I hope this love of mine for you

is obvious and shows.
