Rain

Dark clouds cover the sky,

Blocking the lonely star

Floating in the mist.

Drops of pure diamonds fall

Down,

        Down,

                 Down

Onto the people.

Onto the ground.

Onto cities.

Waken the world from a slumber

So deep, that no one sees that rain.

Slowly, as the earth floods with torrents of water,

People wake.

But the rains do not stop.

Masses of people cry out,

"Why?"

Their question is not answered.

They are silenced.

Forever.
