Racism

Why is the color of my eyes,

Less important than the color of my skin.

Racism is an evil thing that,

Everyone takes a part in.

First thing they see is my complextion,

But not who I am as a person.

Why am I not sipprised it still goes on today,

Maybe it's because people don't change.

Now when they see me,

Black is the color they use to label me.

So when I see someone,

I try not to look at them as is they are a color,

But more, as a person who should be discovered.
