Puny minds

Job 8:3

Does God pervert justice?
Or does the Almighty pervert what is right?

Oh! Puny minds we have … to think we have all answers.

Puny thinkers we are … as we try to think for others.

Pompous we appear … the way we are self-converted

in liking what we see ... in the mirror of our sorrows.

We feel misunderstood and want others to be like us.

It would be a better world ... if others saw our goals.

Oh my! Oh my! Confusion in folks, who met us

With half our level of greed … there would be a lack gold.

Does not God know the inner man … and his hidden priorities?

The things well kept from others … as we glorify ourselves?

We live in our palaces … and talk about the poor and

“Love your neighbor as yourself” or “God helps who help themselves”.

It is God Who is pure and Holy... it is man who is corrupt.

It is man who in His name … often dishonors Him.

With our hidden agendas … and our religiousness

we break apart the love of Christ ... and that surely is grim.

I know we cannot change … what God put in motion

but love is that substance … that is ours to give.

The love of Christ in us … should be overflowing

and be shown in our compassion … so all of us may live.
