Pulling Strings

Tangled, that’s the only word for a bad day

Stings of worry, of sorrow, of sadness, and pain

Those messed up days that seem to last an age

The ones that make you want to storm and rage, WHY ME?!

For those kind of days I simply pull me some strings

Make me some warm and cozy things

The patterns bring some order to the tangle

And the shapes, they make let me see a new angle

When it all comes together, the last stitch sewn,

I take pride in knowing I did it all on my own

I know sometimes the best things take time to mend

But it will be most worth it when you reach the end.

Of course there will be days full of miserable things

But you can shape your way to good days by just pulling some strings.
