Puddles. Leaves. Future.
Location
Don't you see what you've done to me, kid?
Puddles.
I want to jump in puddles with you.
Deep puddles with muck-stained water
That sloshes up to our knees.
With red gum boots under crisp summer skies,
Tucked in a summer breeze.
Shallow puddles that reflect our faces,
And clouds like cottage cheese.
I don't even like cottage cheese, kid.
Leaves.
I want to jump in leaves with you.
Endless leaf piles of gold, brown, red color
That cling to the strands of your hair.
With your smile wavering out of view,
Every hue is a questonaire.
With the colors and sweet smelling autumn air,
To love you completely is only fair.
It's fair, but it still sucks, kid.
Future.
I want to jump into the future with you.
A thousand possibilities within grasp
Just waiting to be held in your hands.
I would wait every step of the way
You're written in all of my plans.
How did you teach me to love like this?
I'm sure only God understands.
Though if I was him, I'd be hella confused, kid.
