promise

Fri, 08/30/2013 - 16:28 -- laffon

they slip

to the ground from your toungue

and from the thoughts they were brung

rolling in the deep

us and them begin to soar

higher and higher

more and more

open our eyes

the sight so exsaperating

they began to pour

our hearts so stuck, locked in belief

but when rise begins to seist

the moment before the fall

and your soul starts to chip away

away before it all

like it started you forgot the words slipped away

no action to back them today

so no comfort hidden on the ground

or even a prayer on the way down

falling, breathing like your last

broken at the bottom

ready for the crash

promises are only promises

none ever last.
