Price for the Future

My dearest, to you I plea,

Lend aid to your troubled son,

Help him through these difficult times,

I ask for you are the only one.

I wish I could help I truly do,

He feels distraught and alone,

With the weight of the world on his shoulders,

And without a place that he feels can be called home.

All he wants is a higher education,

But the price is to great,

He would be working for decades,

Giving him the desire to fall and blate.

It's not as easy for him,

Not like it was for you and I.

We had much less we needed to pay,

When the mountain was less high.

This world is too much for our boy.

He will only succeed if we help him as a team.

But alas, now that I am gone,

He only has you on whom he can lean.
