Prayer

When we met

We thought our friendship would melt

As years rolled on

But we had stuck through thick and thin

And refused to pull the plugs

You had tied the cord

Thrown open the doors of your house

And given your children, husband and siblings

As my close acquaintances

Yopu had dresed me.

When my feeble hand, waited

To seek assistance,

You had slowed down

When my weak legs

Slow in peace

Made the juorney onger than needed

You had comforted

When like a boiling pt waiting to spill

My tears came afloat.

You had pushed behind my pains

And in sweetest loving care

Had refused me to back- down

When i am away

I know that someone cares

My fair friend and folk!

I will treat you with boundless adulation

And pray that the cord

Remains knotted as we live.
