One Job Will Change My Life

The Power of a Picture

By: Paige Davenport

The lighting frames their faces as their smiles shine larger than life.

My eyes are mesmerized knowing this sight will soon turn from a moment in time into forever.

All this beauty contained in a snapshot.

More graceful and perfect than any words could describe.

For it is the memories it holds when looking back on this day.

And I am grateful.

Because nothing brings more joy than having the power to capture this moment.

For in a second it will be gone and this is all we will have left.

And I have the opportunity to be a part of it.

To bring smiles to peoples’ faces and joy to their hearts.

For this not just a colored piece of photo paper.

But a moment lived to the fullest that we get to remember.

And I’ll grow old and grey one day, happy that I lived my life doing what I love.

For it is not just a job, but a passion.

A passion to see that one perfect moment where lives can be captured in the simplest most detailed forms.

And I will not say this job may have the power to change my life.

Because I know it will without a doubt change me from the inside out.

And until then, I look forward to the day that I will live my dream and never look back.
