The Power Behind Teaching

Location

I walk into the classroom in the morning.

It's empty.

The vision of seeing young students in front of me

rattles my bones,

shakes my fingers,

speeds my heart.

I'm nervous.

Nervous about

messing up,

making a fool of myself,

being told I can't.

I walk into the classroom in the morning.

It's filled.

The vision of seeing young students in front of me

rattles my bones,

shakes my fingers,

speeds my heart.

I'm not nervous.

I'm excited.

Excited about

inspiring their young minds,

helping them when they are in need,

giving support.

In the end, being a teacher is not about you

It's about them; the upcoming generation

And giving your everything to them to help

the school,

the community,

and the world,

is something truly powerful.

That's what I want as my dream job.
