Poison Bible

Blood vessels and veins mesh beneath skin;

                                                                     violently violet

Head and arms draped across the bathroom floor

                                                                            door locked

You screamed to a Heaven that would never

                                                                      answer

Instead finding replies in a poison needle

                                                                tell me

Are those track marks the remnants of your

                                                                   Gospel

How frustrating it is that I don't believe in

                                                                 God
