Poetry is an art

                            It truly comes from the heart

                      It allows you to express how you feel

                   Some people view it as not a big deal

                    It allows you to express who you are

                    Making sure that you reach for the stars

           Choosing words that describe what you’re feeling is divine

                  Making sure that you read behind the lines

           Poems have a way of conveying a different meaning

                    Making sure that you are always leaning

                   Towards a future where everything is right

                     And you have the capability to be bright

                             Poetry changed my life

                               I always had to strive

                           Towards what it is important to me

                        So that I can truly be who I want to be

                              Poetry is like an ocean

                     It allows you to always express your emotion

                    Never afraid of going deeper into your dreams

                             Its always easier than it seems
