Poetry

Through each stanza and each line

I've learned we are connected through time

The human experience is forever

In every story and every endeavor

Each story and feeling are repeated

Every quest that was made is already completed

The names and the places are different

Every story evermade is itinerant

From J. Alfred Prufrock to Derek Walcott

Each lesson is spoken and taught

The human condition is in every line

Going on for lifetimes

I've learned that poetry is infinite

And has characteristics essential for the human existence
