Poetry

Poetry is for people like me
With a past they don't want you to see
So we write it all down and hide behind lines
Metaphors and an ill suprise
Reading the words you have no clue
That the poems we write are true
Turn a blind eye to what you know
Give us the cold shoulder and let it go
Past, present what will it take?
For you to realize that are words are no mistake
Crumble up the paper, throw it in the flame
None of is care, at least we had the heart to be brave
Our poetry isn't a lie and it's no mistake
What chances do you take?
Looking with judgement in your eyes
With looks like that it's a wonder we're still alive
Try to write down your heart and see
At least we can bear our hearts through poetry
