a place of chances

My world is better

As I hear the thunderous, yet peaceful waves.

It’s the most wonderful feeling ever.

Finally, this is my chance to be brave.

A hesitant chance

Engulfing me since I was a little girl.

As I would walk along the shoreline with

My now forgotten mother,

And the delicate breeze would dance around my curls.

It’s not the same anymore.

I now sit alone on top of a bed of soft silky sand.

I close my eyes and

Listen as the waves meet the sand and roar.

An undiscovered chance for me to see

The beauty of my world.

There’s no other place like it,

This is my one and only dreamworld.

It’s where I’m meant to be.

My chance to be brave

And to overcome my fears has come.

I am trapped in my own body, and

There’s nowhere to flee.

My world was sprinkled

with this unnoticed, yet memorable chance.

There’s only thing that’s truly magical.

The way the wave gently kisses the shoreline and

They both forever dance.
