Philophobia

If you were to fall in love with me

I would pity you. You see it's not because I

hate you, not because i think i am better

If you asked me to be yours I would tremble,

But not out of joy, not out of anger. If you

were to flirt with me, I would run away,

but not out of disinterest, not out of fear

of it being some cruel joke. You see in this

case you are actually not the problem

It really is me. I am not some normal

person, who can just fall in love, you see

This problem isn’t just me, but the word

Love. So if  you were to fall in love with me

I would pity you for I can’t give it back to you

If you were to ask me to be you I would tremble

in fear. If you were to flirt with me I would run

From you because it scares me. I am sorry for

this inconvenience called philophobia
