Perspective of Flawsless
When I wake up in the morning, I do not look into the mirror to see a lonely soul.
I see a girl who’s staring back at me with purpose for her life.
Her life was destined for greatness, not something purposed by society.
The eyes of vultures hound me along my way, I feel their stares; mockery is present.
Words slashed into my eardrums repeatedly, a throbbing headache forming in my skull. 'This is foolish." I thought, and decided to change.
Not for their sake, but for the sake of the game.
I step out my boundaries and venture out into the unknown, the refusal to fall forging my footsteps.
If they want to mock and ridiculed, let them.
Despite what happens, I'll still be that same girl.
The girl, who always put others before herself, prevails from her fears of the unknown.
The girl, who saved her friends from their demons, saved herself as well.
I refused to let the haunting of my past shadow the future yet unseen.
Accepting flaws as they are gives me strength to move forward.
The ideal of true acceptance equals flawless. I will not take anything else for what it is
